For the last couple of days we in Ontario are enjoying a very nice sunny days. Although being nice and hot for a change still some times the heat does bothers. Hydration of the body is must all the time and when Ice cold water is somewhat restricted to drink for health {Read here why},what are the options for nice cooling snacks. One tends to look out for nice delicious juicy fruits that out in nature exactly made to be at this right time of the heat. Fruits that can quench our thirst hunger and cool us.

Fruits are therefore a great way to beat the summer eat. Watermelons, pineapples, mangoes and melons, there’s a lot of fun fruits in the market during the summers. These fruits have 80% water and natural sugars, giving instant energy and helping the body cope with the heat. Fruits are also rich in fiber, vitamin C and many other nutrients that can improve health when eaten fresh and ripe.

It’s summer—that amazing time of year when fresh produce abounds. As a dietitian and nutrition editor I love that there’s an abundance of fresh, delicious and healthy choices. Better yet: many of summer’s fruits and vegetables are brimming with secret health benefits.

Orange

Should not be eaten early morning and late night. You can eat it one hour before or eating your meal. Orange is helpful in digesting food.

Water Melon

Eating water melon during noon is advisable. It restores the dehydrated water of the body.

Grapes

Eating grape also help in resorting the dehydrated water of the body. Avoid eating grapes during meal there must be some interval between eating grape and meal. Grape must be eaten before exposing to sun.

Sweet Melon 

Sweet melon is the best fruit of summer season. It can also be eaten during meal as well. Avoid drinking water while having melon.

Coconut

Coconut water the best medicine for stomach diseases like acidity and ulcer. Avoid drinking coconut water empty stomach.

Mango

Mango is the king of fruits. But mango is of warm temperament. Use mango with milk as milk shake is advisable. Adding sugar to the slices of mango is also beneficial.
